Dear Dieter, 

You were friend and soul brother. 

Your passing brings me deep sadness and tears. But my memories of you and the adventurous times we shared burn brightly.

I feel so grateful for knowing you and for the wonderful experience of reconnecting after so many decades had passed and so much distance had separated us.

I was deeply touched by Anna's description of your passing. It is a great comfort to know you didn't suffer, but left this mortal realm in a way that befit the Dieter I knew.

You remain my friend and soul brother.
